Milk

I'm titling this Milk.

Many people have asked if I was trying to reenact Annie Leibovitz's photo of Whoopi Goldberg in a bathtub of milk and I would have to say..uhm..maybe? Leibovitz has always been an inspiration but on this day, Annie's work was not in my mind at all. I was inspired by photographers such as Tamar Levine & Andrew Gallo (more influential work can be found on my Pinterest board: Inspirations). It wasn't until after this shoot that I googled the photo of Whoopi Goldberg because I hadn't seen it in years. But on this day, I just so happened to shoot my roommates in a bathtub and just so happened to want to put milk in it and conveniently, my model had dark skin which turned out to be eerily unintentional.

Annie Leibovitz is an amazing photographer and I would be genuinely flattered, and to be honest, pretty f****ing excited if my work was ever remotely compared to hers.
