Roommates have always been very important to me; they are the ones you come home to everyday. They bare the brute of your mood swings and make you coffee in the morning. Some people were made to be better friends than roommates and some share both qualities. This ^ is Renuka Retnaswamy. She is an amazing fine art photographer, roommate, temporary mom, adventurer, spontaneous trip taker and one of my best friends. Renu is from India, she loves the color yellow, and I am the guardian of her orange cat named, Rat. You can check out her talented work on Facebook: Renuka Retnaswamy. Imagemaker.

Salton Sea, California

This past weekend, three friends and I went adventuring to the Salton Sea. The adventuring consisted of tent building at 2am, touching dead fish, getting naked, sweating, making 3 ice cream sandwich trips, being trashy at Salvation Mountain, mud bubbles, Cheetos, glowing scorpions, hot dogs, campfires, more friends, more food, dead trees, poop, more sweat, multiple rolls of film, and multiple memories made.
And then we went to Big Bear to go sledding on a sleeping pad.
How was your weekend?

This is my friend Brittany Gillespie. I have known her since childhood but it wasn't until I moved to Santa Barbara that we actually became really great friends. Backstory: Brit started college at UCSB then SBCC and she is currently attending Paul Mitchell The School. She is awesome at hair, makeup, wardrobe and being a friend. This began as a shoot for school but we decided to have fun instead. Really love how they came out.
